ABOUT THE SCRS
THE ASSESSMENT
As a therapist, other mental health/medical professional, or life coach you know that your client’s relational network is one of their most valuable resources. Social interaction is essential to every aspect of human health.
The quantity and quality of social relationships positively impact mental health, physical health, and mortality risk. Loneliness is one of the main indicators of social wellbeing and correlates with depression, suicide, Alzheimer’s, and alcohol abuse. Helping a client strengthen and deepen their relational world is one of the most impactful interventions you can make.
The Self-Centric Relational System (SCRS) is a psychotherapy and life coaching tool that produces a graph of your client’s relational world from their viewpoint. Clients have the options of entering their relationship data in your office or online. The SCRS assessment produces a relational graph, interpretation guide, report, and recommendations for enhancing a client’s relational world. Subsequent administrations of the SCRS are used to plot progress and set new goals. View a sample graph here. Find out more about how to use the SCRS here.
